My Capital One Venture card had a 2% cash back offer for Adorama. It required logging into the Capital One website and following the link. Worth a shot for an additional $40 back.
(e.g 14" MacBook Pro w/ M2 Pro processor was priced at 1999 same price as 14" MacBook Pro w/ M1 Pro processor when it was released) -> also since it was apple many complained that they reduced the storage speed and went for M1 Pro because of fast storage speed and the performance improvement from M1 pro to M2 pro weren't even worth upgrade for some.

Mainly, I wanted the 16 inch screen with at least an M1 and 16GB of memory at the cheapest possible price. I run a lot of applications at the same time for software development (database servers, application servers, IDE, etc). I don't need a lot of disk space because I'm not working with large files like videos or audio. I've been running a machine with 512GB of disk for years and space has never been an issue for me.
Everyone is different and it is foolish to assume that how you use a computer is how everyone else does too.
Your absolutely right! I want to buy this laptop but I won't due to their greed. 512 GB in a $2000 laptop is rediculous.
