It's ready to serve your musical vision, it's versatile enough to handle any style of music and it's the perfect platform for creating your own sound. Respecting our heritage while maintaining our innovative spirit, the power trio of Player Series single-coil pickups are crisp and articulate-it's authentic Fender tone with a modern edge. By adding a 22nd medium jumbo fret to the contemporary 9.5"-radius fingerboard we've made it easier to express yourself musically. The updated 2-point tremolo design has smoother travel for enhanced playing feel while simultaneously giving you rock-solid tuning stability since there's less friction against the posts. Squiers are not children's guitars. I've had Classic Vibes that are far better than Player series guitars. My Squier J Mascis Jazzmaster is one of the best playing guitars I've ever owned. Chris Buck plays a Squier Classic Vibe Jazzmaster live. And they're not made in Korea. They're made in China.

These are being sold right now at many, many online and brick & mortar stores for the stock price of $849. And that's it. They don't go on sale.
Check Guitar Center right now and you'll see.
So, unless there is something I am unaware of .. factory returns or B-stock or some other mitigating unknown reason ... this is the best deal on a guitar I have ever seen on Slickdeals.
As for the guitar itself, a very knowledgeable guitar business owner was telling me the inside story of the difference between these guitars and the $2000 American Strats. He put it this way:
"Would you like a Stratocaster built by Mexicans in Mexico or a Stratocaster built by Mexicans in California?"
And that's it. That's the $1200 price difference.
And he would certainly know more about it than me .. or anyone who would comment about it on Slickdeals.
The "classic vibes" series .. or Squires ... are peculiar little children's guitars built in Korea.

As far as best deal on Slickdeals, I picked up a Nashville Fender Player Plus from Amazon for $50 bucks more than this and it has locking tuners and noiseless pickups. Nevertheless a good deal as I have a Polar White Strat and they are indeed better as the Classic Vibes as I owned one also. The frets on the vibe developed dents in them after a year of playing although the sound was good.
