I have to put in the money before 5/31 and cannot take out before 7/30.
I plan on keeping the money there until I get the bonus which will be 3+ months.

I just ended up moving to Wealthfront which gives 4.54%. No headache of opening a new acct. and easy movement in and out.
It is a fintech which "fronts" other banks.
It should allow you to combine after a few days. A new page will ask to verify your account info, choose your preferred username, and the account will be combined.
