I received my 6a from Metro and can confirm that it won't work with TMobile sim out of the box. I've tested with my T-Mobile sim card and couldn't get services.

I would eat the additional net $10 to avoid all that crap and get a new number. No AF, $20 cheaper plan. Authorized dealers are 90% scammers.

So I have both A54 and S21FE. I just played with both more today and must say, if not considering battery, s21FE is just better in almost every aspect. Thinner bazels, more responsive fingerprint sensor, better/juicer colors and viewing angles, better camera, mega super-duper stereo speakers (A54 also has good ones but s21 has better ones). I had Pixel7 and honestly, I hated the screen. Had terrible headaches just from staring at P7, so I assume with P6a it would be the same (if not worse). Therefore, if you have extra $50 and want some decent camera and overall smooth experience go with s21fe, but if battery really meters go with a54. However, if you just want the cheapest option and like making photos, go with P6a. Just my 2 cents

Placed a order but it asked me questions about past vehicles, address and the age of someone I had lived with in the past. It must try to verify identity by some of the information you give to them signing up.

I tried going into a store (non-corporate as there are no corporate stores within 50 miles) and they wanted to charge me tax and for a sim card and it came out to over $100 a line. That's was after trying to convince me that I had to purchase the $65 a month plan. Mad

Pixel 6a wins overall (slightly ahead of the Pixel 7 Pro).
Also wins on a per dollar basis based on the phones' MSRPs ($399 or $449 at the time of the voting).

Yep, those questions are used to verify that you're not using someone else's ID to place the order with that credit card.

it does not beat p7pro i had the p4xl which is the same sensor as 6a i can tell u there is huge diff . i have done cameras comnparisons then marqees. 6pro has better pics then p4 and p7pro is better then p6pro but with the latest update it might be the same for 6pro and 7pro.

i can tell u in a night club both samsung and iphone fail miserably ip14pro cant even beat the nexus6 from 10yrs back in night clubs in dark with flashing lights in background

I was porting my line from Verizon. Store charging a lot of extras:

Tax on full price of the phone: 8% * 450 = $36
SIM card Fee: $15
Activation Fee: $25
Min Plan: $65

That's ALMOST $150. Are these guys for real?

I don't see any prepaid offerings on BB dot com. And I still haven't learned here when these AT&T handsets can be unlocked. As it stands, the Metro thing is a sure deal.
FWIW: I went into a BB store and talked to them about their pixel 6a ATT deal - they didn't know much - but they did tell me that you are locked into a plan for a year - i.e., paying for phone service for a year. Minimum plan is $60/month. DK if that's true and I will say that this BB associate didn't have much info on the deal.

Is this better than A54?
Yes and no.

6a advantages:
  • smaller screen
  • better processor
  • fantastic camera
a54 advantages:
  • bigger AND 120hz screen
  • slower processor, but much more stable (doesn't throttle, I prefer gaming on this phone than 6a)
  • better cellular modem (Same as Pixel 7)
  • better battery life
  • MicroSD card
If I wanted a casual phone that does everything, I would choose 6a for the camera alone.

a54 is a better choice for those who spend more time on their phones consuming media, I think.

just ordered one. Thanks OP!
total price is $92.99. Figured if they did ship me this phone, i can keep it after six month if unlocking is successful. And /or trade it in for a new pixel 7/8 at the end of this year, if Google still runs this kind of promotion like it did last year. then this phone will (maybe) have a trade-in value of close to $300. Totally worth it!

I have a "corporate" store near. Am I guaranteed to get a clean deal or am I still likely to get hassled with up sells, privacy invasions, etc?
