I bought it two weeks ago for 1500. For this price its worth it. Bass and midrange responses are very good, tweeter response is not that great compared KEF or B&W. Now I will have to call and pricematch 😟
Update: got a store credit 150+tax. Check your speakers for full functionality as these are not seem to be new, though packed well with new accessories.
Kind of annoying these keep dropping every few weeks, already had 2 price adjustments but they only offer store credit. Hopefully they'll do another one.
Also finally had time to set these up today and found that the tweeter on the left speaker isn't working at all. Just after I tossed the box, so fun times with Adorama customer support ahead…
Stay away from def tech. The plate amps on my BP9060s has gone out a couple times now. They're known to use cheap capacitors. This is a known problem that def tech even knows about but chooses to ignore instead of addressing it. I had a set of BP8040s before this that had the same issues. I was hoping they fixed it, but nope. I'm not too familiar with the newer D series, but do your research before giving your money to them.

I'll second it. I have a pair of BP7006s and both amp plates/modules were replaced. They sound nice when working.

Not a D17 review, but should be comparable: https://www.audioholics
