Spectrum internet is required to purchase mobile, what the fish
I'm Hanzelnuts, I was mentioned in the Wiki. You guys are lucky because Spectrum is excepting a lot of older phones as trade in for this promotion. A Note 4 is now worth $35 + $600. That's crazy.

I did this promotion 2 months ago. Traded in my Note 9 for $27 and Iphone 8 plus for $12. Note 9 was the oldest they will take back then and so was the iPhone 8. I had a Note 4 that didn't qualify. I had to buy the IPhone 8 for $90 to do the trade in.

I went in the store and paid in full for S23 Ultra and S23. Contrary to FatGuyPoolShark, I like many people, had to send in our trade-in to Assurant. You'll be lucky if the store accept your trade in. It has to be sent in.

Anyways, I have Spectrum internet. There was a promotion of buy one unlimited line for $29.99 and you'll get one line free. For those that didn't get this promotion in their email, ASK THE REP at the store if you can get that promo. Chances are, they'll say yes.

I was able to unlock my 2 phones within one week. I called and asked if they could unlock them and the agent unlocked them while I was on the phone with her. You might want to say you're traveling and needed them unlock.

Assurance emailed me and says my phones were accepted as trade-ins. But instead of $27 for my Note 9, they only going to pay me $15 reason being it was late. It wasn't late, as they received it within the 30 days required to mail in.

I have a credit of $1227 with Spectrum right now. I'm too busy to call and ask them to credit them back to my credit card. It shouldn't be a problem though.

Feel free to ask any questions if need to.
Yeah that should be the first line of the post. Want my 15 minutes back.

Thanks, it's kinda confusing now…
just had a chat with mobile sales rep. They confirmed that the credit will be applied to the purchased phone and not refunded back to the credit card.. will skip it for now..
You pay for the phone in full. You'll get the trade-in amount credit to your Spectrum account. Call Spectrum and have them credit the money from your Spectrum account back to your credit card. Simple.

If they do it, that's fine. If they don't (since it's not in fine print) !!.. I don't want to stay with spectrum mobile to finish up my account credit..

Walked in as existing customer traded in a s20 FE walked out with an S23 paying $83 purchased outright. Went home looked at s23 trade in says they would give $1000.... Free upgrade to s23+?
You did it in-store and paid only the difference amount+taxes only?

Someone mentioned there is no tax if buying in Texas but it's showing 8.25%tax for me. How to avoid this?

When you traded in your S20FE, did you have to open a new line or was it processed as an upgrade on the existing line?

BTW, nice find on the S23 trade-in value of $1000. Why not trade-in S23 for S23 and get $200 credit sent to your credit card.

So I did this deal a month ago with my s10s before they started taking these really really old phones (my s9 would be gone instead lol). I did one in person and one as a mail in because they only had one s23. Zero trouble with either but doing it in person I got the trade in credit immediately and in Texas at least also saved the tax as a result.

Overall zero complaints. The prioritization on data on Verizon feels even higher than it did on visible which is Verizon owned which is weird.

Probably going to add a third line for another s23 and sell it on Facebook and make a few hundred bucks lol.
