I'm Hanzelnuts, I was mentioned in the Wiki. You guys are lucky because Spectrum is excepting a lot of older phones as trade in for this promotion. A Note 4 is now worth $35 + $600. That's crazy.

I did this promotion 2 months ago. Traded in my Note 9 for $27 and Iphone 8 plus for $12. Note 9 was the oldest they will take back then and so was the iPhone 8. I had a Note 4 that didn't qualify. I had to buy the IPhone 8 for $90 to do the trade in.

I went in the store and paid in full for S23 Ultra and S23. Contrary to FatGuyPoolShark, I like many people, had to send in our trade-in to Assurant. You'll be lucky if the store accept your trade in. It has to be sent in.

Anyways, I have Spectrum internet. There was a promotion of buy one unlimited line for $29.99 and you'll get one line free. For those that didn't get this promotion in their email, ASK THE REP at the store if you can get that promo. Chances are, they'll say yes.

I was able to unlock my 2 phones within one week. I called and asked if they could unlock them and the agent unlocked them while I was on the phone with her. You might want to say you're traveling and needed them unlock.

Assurance emailed me and says my phones were accepted as trade-ins. But instead of $27 for my Note 9, they only going to pay me $15 reason being it was late. It wasn't late, as they received it within the 30 days required to mail in.

I have a credit of $1227 with Spectrum right now. I'm too busy to call and ask them to credit them back to my credit card. It shouldn't be a problem though.

Feel free to ask any questions if need to.

Probably going to do this. How much would a S23 be on the open market?
I just sold two to decluttr for $435 each. Somehow the resale value is better on the s23 than my s23 ultra. I was only getting $666 for my 512GB 23 ultra.

just chatted with rep. asked for help to unlock and mentioned I paid in full already, she verified account pin and IMEI and told me it was done. Check network status, said unlocked.

Selling for $435 each, how much did you ending up making each? $200 roughly after trading in cheap phone plus the difference of retail price?

Curious why this route?

Oh! Hard luck.. sorry. I called them the same day when I bought the phone at the store and they just confirmed it's paid off and unlocked it immediately (both the times, S23 and S23+). Initially, I did unlock S23 as well, as I wasn't sure I'll trade that in for S23+
I traded in an old phone for s23. I want to try to upgrade s23 to another s23. Do I need to unclock the current s23 first for the second trade in?

How long does it take the trade-in credit to show up in the account?
My mail-in packages was shown delivered by USPS two days ago but I still hear nothing, no acceptance confirmation, no credit or so.

I traded in my iphone 8+ 64 gb for S23 in-store in Los Angeles CA and got instant trade-in credit of $646 ($600 spectrum promotion + $46 iphone valiue) and ended up paying $245(including tax on the full price of the phone) for a new line, by the gig plan. Then I came home, unlocked it and closed the line the same day.

After a couple of days, went into a diff store and bought S23+ in-store by trading in the S23 I bought above. Got $1000 instant trade-in credit, hence paid $112 (including tax on full price and new line, by the gig plan). Thinking to keep the line for this billing cycle in order not to get flagged on my account.

End of the day, I paid taxes on two phones but if you look I still got S23+ for $350(including CA taxes) by trading in iPhone 8+
I traded in an old phone for s23. I want to try to upgrade s23 to another s23 for 200$ credit. Do I need to unclock the current s23 first for the second trade in?

Pay off, yes. Unlock, no. I did a similar path but with two cheap A32 phones. On the same line in store within 5 days of each trade

I did unlocks over the phone 3 times last week with no issue.
I called back again today and this agent let me unlock the phone.
I guess you need to make sure you have a good agent. CoolPeace
Got a call back today, they unlocked 1 of the phones! You're right just gotta have the right worker.

EDIT: BTW can no longer unlock phones over chat, rep said due to fraudulent activities, only through phone.

Spectrum in-store employee placed an online order for me as the green color S23 I was looking for was not available in-store. But buying online unnecessarily adds the full tax on the device along with trade in refund sent later after Spectrum receives the trade-in phone! And once the online order is placed and shipped there is no way to cancel the order even by the store representative or spectrum customer care agent. Even the trade-in phone IMEI is locked with this order so it can't be used for another order. Points for others.

Has anyone been able to trade up from the S23 to S23 ultra or got the S23 to S23 refund of $200?
I am mostly interested in trading the S23 I picked up earlier from Spectrum for a S23 Ultra.

Recent posts mention inability to do this in store. Not sure if it was from S23 to S23 only. Or a general issue with upgrading on the same line that you just upgraded on a few days prior.

Not going to spell it out but has anyone else figured out the infinite money glitch here?

Took my first 2xS23 I purchased and traded them in. One for an S23U with another $200 OOP. Total $378 and an old janky phone for a new S23U.

Second S23 traded in for S23+ as an experiment. Refunded $0.01.

I have 3 other lines on my account using Iphones. Used 3 old phones to buy S23 for $178 each. Didnt bother activating because my family would be upset not using Iphones. Traded in next day on S23 for $200.01 refund each.

Repeated again with the 3xS23. You can see where this is going.

Right now I have stopped. I have two locations and both recognize me. Since I use these phone numbers I cant risk losing them. Money is refunding to my card and not account credit. In larger cities and some free time?

This will only work in states with instant trade in and no tax on the full amount. Must pay in full. Must swap S23 for S23. No extra money for S23+ to S23 because every other transaction is only $0.01.

Good luck all.

Did you have to cancel the line when trading in the fully paid off s23's or just existing line you got the new 23 on? I'm looking to trade in s23 I got yesterday from them (paid full) for the free s23+ value/trade (the line is active)

It's been about 22hrs since the s23 was bought. The website says the line is eligible for upgrade but gives 'server error' when you try /click
