The trade in offers for s23 plus and ultra has dropped from 1290 to 1130 for the ultra and 1100 to 1040 for 23 plus. I was planning to trade in my s23 ultra to get two s23 plus. They're making g it hard now. Lol
Still $1000 for S23. Anyone on the fence about trading in their S23, move fast before it drops as well.

Anyone cancel their prepaid subscription fee with Spectrum before the new month?

How did you do it?

Or are you concerned that if you do, Spectrum might blacklist your phone.

FYI, for those that don't see the "Eligible for Upgrade" option, DO NOT USE THE SPECTRUM APP. Login to the Spectrum website and follow Ouloat instruction and you will see it.

I'm in CA. Yesterday, I went into the Spectrum store, traded in a Galaxy S4 and a Note 4. Got $5 Trade-in credit for the S4 and $20 for the Note 4. Added 2 new lines (pay by the gig $14 + $10 activation) to my 2 existing lines. The store I was at accepted my 2 trade-ins on the spot (no need to mail in). Purchased two S23 and pay $144 for tax on the 2 phones. So, my total for the 2 S23 was $538. Next step, trade in these S23 for the S23+ and Ultra.
What will be the cool period before next step ? And will you be able to do so for same line ?

Call CS or port out to another carrier.

Get your phone unlocked first before porting out. Spectrum may blacklist you for opening and cancelling lines in rapid succession, but not for 1 line. The service was bad, done.

As Hanzelnuts detailed, you can upgrade multiple times a same line. Their system allows it. However, the more you upgrade the more you risk getting flagged / blocked. 2 SDers already noted it happened to their accounts. We don't know the exact triggers.

As for the cooling period, there is none. The online portal will show you are good for upgrade as soon as you get home. But again, keep it reasonable, you already paid for the first month, and this promo runs until June 30, so space out your upgrades.

I called to unlock my device, they said they could not look up accounts due to a system issue, to try again later. Asked to unlock via chat, they refused, "due to excessive Fraudulent request we are no longer performing unlock request through mobile chat." Called again, representive immediately said system was down, to call back later.

So I tried a new strategy, calling for "activation help," not mentioning unlocking. Mysteriously, their system was working just fine now, only seconds after previous failures. They immediately found my account. Getting past that step, I asked for unlock and got it.

Another "weird" thing, my updated account phone number did not work when looking up my account. I had to provide the phone number originally linked to the account.

I did, and the s23 immediately said it had to reboot. After reboot, the phone and msgs worked as expected as an unlocked device.

Their whole system just crashed. I just spent an hour at the store with no luck and it was chaos with people coming in for other issues like activation. Then I got home and tried online and I'm just getting errors.

It is true their system has crashed. I also feel s23 trade in prices might go down because lot of stores are holding inventory. They r asking if we want s23+

I bought a Cricket Wireless Moto G Pure (2021) from Walmart today @ $24 for Trade. Spectrum's trade in system doesn't list it when I choose Cricket as a carrier, but does when I choose "Other." I entered the IMEI and all, got a trade in value of $600+$10.

Question: Will it matter that it's a Cricket Moto G Pure (2021) and not an "Other" carrier's Moto G Pure (2021)? Should I return it and get an AT&T Moto G Pure (2021) that Walmart's selling for $30?
