Did anyone successfully activated phone in sprint network ? Tried 2 S23 phones both are not eligible , any idea how to activate ? But when checking in the tmobile site, the phone is eligible
ask Sprint to add the imei to their database. or move your acct to T-Mobile.

Has anyone taken the SIM out of a Spectrum phone and used it in another phone? I pulled the SIM out of the new S23, and put it in my iPhone...everything works as normal. The iPhone comes up as an "Unknown Device" in my Spectrum online account.

I was told by more than one Spectrum store employee that this will not work as the service is locked to only the registered phone....but it does work. Wondering how long this will carry on for...

I did temporarily for about a day before calling to unlock the phone. It works, but it can cause issues down the line from what I've read. You should be able to go online, click on the line, select "Already have a device?," type in the iPhone IMEI, and activate your iPhone properly that way. I did that and activated the iPhone with eSIM.

Can you stack this with their 12 months free cell service offer? Or does it have to be a paid line?

Ya, I hope the trade in from S23 to S23+ doesn't change. That's all that matters. Because $600 for an old crappy phone, that's insane. 😁

- Do I absolutely need to have the S23 activated with Spectrum Mobile for getting this promo?
- If yes, can I get it activated without opening/taking the phone out of the box?
I bought in store and they required me to open the box to test the phone, etc. I ordered online and the box arrived sealed with a SIM in the phone. I opened to the box to confirm it was unlocked after I called customer service to do so.

How long did it take for the credit to hit your spectrum account after they received the online trade in? My usps status say delivered to an individual at the address on May 30th but the spectrum trade in status still say "in transit- Your device is on it's way to our warehouse" so not sure how much longer will it take for the status to change or when I see credit in my account. Let me know. Thanks!
I haven't received the credit yet. I received an email on 31 May saying my phone is in transit...

Spectrum is a MVNO of Verizon, so they follow Verizon's policy of tying the SIM to the IMEI of the assigned phone. Therefore, hotswapping SIMs is strongly discouraged. Verizon could disable the sim altogether.

If you want to use your Spectrum SIM in a different phone, that new phone's IMEI must be assigned to the Spectrum SIM. You can do this either by calling in to Spectrum, or do it online yourself using the BYOD and selecting the Keep Your Sim option. Note: Changing your device to a BYOD device will remove your Upgrade Available option from that line, so get your upgrades in before swapping devices. (No longer true)
Okay. Got the trade-in amount back to my original payment card. The net is $282 : $906 phone payment - $654 trade-in + $30 one-month charge.

Question: If I call/chat Spectrum Mobile to disconnect/cancel the added line, would I incur any fees? Do I have to wait 2 months to call them?

No contract, cancel anytime. If you still have time before your month renews, you could sell your phone number to another SDer for porting in to another promotion.

chat cancellations don't work. you have to call Spectrum's customer service retention line & they're really working hard to keep your mobile active but give up if you tell them that your time is precious haha.

4-5 days after receipt confirmation
so you would say it probably took about a total of 2 week since the time you've mailed out your trade in phone to the time your receive credit back into your spectrum account? i'm just asking because my status is still stuck at "In Transit _Your device is on it's way to our warehouse!" even though the usps status say it is delivered on May 30th. just trying to figure out the timeline and how long exactly
