Safe to assume that since I don't see any 40V batteries/tools that this deal is only 18V batteries/tools?
I was wondering the same. I got a 40v pole saw recently and I'm satisfied with it and definitely interested in trying others from this line.

For those that need batteries, the four 4Ah batteries for $99 seems like the best deal out of the bunch.
Is the 4ah enough to power this ... https://www.homedepot.com/p/RYOBI.../304598941

I got the 18v pole saw and hedge trimmer, they work surprisingly well. I have the 40v mower and weed eater.

Yes, I bought that last week and it runs great. I have two 1.5ah batteries and only used half battery from one during my use. I didn't have a ton to cut, but it worked well.

the ah rating is how long a battery will last before discharging. It's not a measure of power.

I run a 2.5ah 40 volt battery with my pole saw all the time. The thing is, you're not really spending a lot of time making cuts. Usually it's one up to start and one down to finish. Maybe you do another to clean it up with no weight from the branch influencing things. Most of your time on the job is dragging branches and cutting them into more maneuverable and compact pieces. Once that limb is on the ground compound loppers are often the best tool for cutting. Maybe a chainsaw if it's rather large.

Chainsaw time is often similar. If you're doing limb work the chainsaw doesn't run much. If you're processing trunks run time goes way up.

FYI these are not the high performance battery line which has been on sale posted on slickdeals for like $79. So they pretty much factored in the price of some of these cheap tools with this. You're maybe saving $10 or less.

Has anyone been in a Home Depot store in the past week? How's the foot traffic?
In Arkansas it's been half of what it normally is. Lowes too.

Was in one in DE last night. There were more employees than customers.

Thanks OP! I literally just bought the 18 Volt One+ Pet stick vacuum last week and it's awesome but for the same price I can get three batteries instead of the single? No brainer.

Don't have a time machine, but there's been better deals (with a hack) earlier this year. Picked up 2 pack of 4Ah non-HP batteries for less than $40 couple months ago.
I am one of those who picked the batteries and having no use/ tools yet. Lol. 2 pack sitting in drawer.
