This printer has been priced at $799.00 for the last couple weeks and all of a sudden the price dropped to $699.00 on Sunday. In addition to this discount OfficeDepot/OfficeMax are offering an additional $75.00 off if you an exchange your old printer. I didn't want to give up my old printer because I still use it so I found a used printer from the Facebook FREE section and took that in for the extra discount. Normally $799 $624.99 before taxes.

This is not really a hot deal. It is frequently selling at $699 at Dell where you can get good cash back (frequently 10-15%) and use AmEx offer together. Currently, there are AmEx offers at Dell for getting up to 20% back and you can use multiple AmEx cards for the payment.

I agree. I'm not that good at this site so I didn't know how to put in the proper section. I've been checking SlickDeals everyday for 2 weeks for this printer and I couldn't find a single discount, but I really needed it for my business so I almost broke down just paid the $800. Just wanted to share with everyone and confirm that you can combine the $100 off sale price and the $75 trade in and it will actually work.

It is a nice printer. Dell has the ET-8500 and ET-8550 on sale alternately. I had debated on getting which model and decided to save $100 by getting the ET-8500 as I figured I may need to print far less than $100 worth of 11"x17" in the life time of the printer. I got my ET-8500 for $420.
