Love my 8500 but if you don't print with it the ink heads will dry up and be a pain to get clean. Used up almost half the ink tanks getting mine flowing after sitting for weeks. I found a utility that runs in the background on my computer to print a little test sheet every few days.

If you are a BestBuy member (the $49 membership one or higher), the price is also $599, with a $100 off trade-in offer. I traded in a crappy old printer from a different brand and paid $499 plus tax to get the 8550. This is in store only.

I plan to convert it to a DTF printer as I think it's the best with ecotank and supports A3+.

Btw, Amazon price has increased back to $750.
