Yes and it would be a nightmare to get replacement wheels. I have a set of Lucky Panda (japanese brand) luggage. All the wheels have lost the outer plastic ring and can't find direct replacements anywhere. Luggage is still fine otherwise.

In earlier times, it was only a question of whether one could *afford* to purchase a quality item. Now it is becoming difficult to find any quality items to purchase, even should one be able to afford them.
