I have the xt line (which is just cosmetically older). They are neutral to my ears (maybe a tad warmish) but react well to the equipment you pair them. I tried them with parasound and they sounded really good. Same goes with marantz. However, they sounded horrible with emotiva amp so definitely stay away with that combination.
Which Emotiva amp? They have many models with different price points.
Bought a pair for 750 each from audio advisor for a demo pair last month. Looks like they're 899 now . They were shipped in perfect condition with full warranty.
Perhaps this is dumb of me, but I would like to get a full set in the same range (XTi). Unfortunately, it appears the center channel is sold out at BB.

Not sure what's your use case, but three towers provide the best stage compared to the typical - and more convenient - center channel arrangement
Curiously, what mid range receiver would to this justice? Have a best buy advisor consult in a week, so will be buying reciever and 2 floor standing speakers (not doing surround, just 2 floor standing).

If you can do anthem that would be best. If not a mid range Denon should work. I bought fans on Amazon for 10-15$ to keep my equipment cool and prevent overheating. Works great .
These speakers are 4 ohms and difficult to drive with low to midrange amps. I use a peachtree amp 500 for the front 2 of these. And it gives a phenomenal stage sound. Preamp with marantz works well. For center one can use 8i.
Bought 3 of these like 2 months back from Amazon for $1129 to replace JBL 590's. Did not notice any difference in sound (100% blueray movies).
Returned within 30 day period. Shipping was around $300 to ship them back.
Music bruh. If you were going strictly home theater you should have grabbed some Klipsch rp8000 or rf7... These Martin Logan's are killer for music use extreme detail and clarity

Could you please explain to me why audiophiles talk about a speaker sounding good with one amp vs another? I do get that different amps with different components might make certain frequencies sound slightly different, but Can't you just EQ the signal to have the system sound just the way you like regardless of the amp?

Unfortunately, they are too large for my space.
Xpa-2 gen 2
Btw, it could be my preamp too (outlaw audio). But the same setup hooked up to jbl 590s simply trounces the competition.
