There is a blower / trimmer / battery kit for $149. Does anyone have experience with returning one of the tools? I only want the blower. Yes there are a blower / battery kits for $100 and $119 but I'm curious if returning the trimmer would get the better blower and battery to $100.

I think I got this kit a few years ago. I can't comment on returning just one part, but I can say that these tools have been fantastic. I've since bought the inflator tool for bikes, car tires and inflatable blow up tool for camping and they've all been great. Quality stuff.

How do you think it compares with the Ryobi 18V Brushless 15" Trimmer? I'm thinking it's hard to beat getting the blower at only $10 extra, but it'd be interesting if the Ryobi trimmer is significantly better.

I would check and see what the RPM is on the Ryobi. Unless it's a significant difference, best to stick with one battery line.

Don't think it's possible, it's sold as one kit, aka all in one package or box, not combo separate items.

Lowes has canceled my last 3/3 orders for FP Slickdeals. My Lowes card is probably going to expire from lack of use. I hear nice things about Kobalt 24V, but without being in the ecosystem and without a pressing need, they haven't given me a reason to shop there for years. I spent a few hundred dollars on hand tools this winter and gave them a pass when it was clear that "Kobalt" stamped on a ratchet meant nothing at all.
love their tools, but wish the batteries were on sale instead. I could use another trimmer battery but it's crazy that the battery costs more than the trimmer itself. Mine lasts ~45 minutes before a recharge is needed, but luckily it only takes 1 hour to charge
That's a pretty good deal. The Kobalt chainsaw was the top performer in Project Farm's recent video in the 10-12inch saw category. Ideally you'd be in Kobalt's 24V platform and have an 8Ah battery or multiple 4Ah, but for lighter use that one 4Ah will be ok.
Their power tools are also one of the best value/performance platforms and they have regular deals. Overtime you can get a nice set of core tools for a low price. Performance to price is often better than even Ryobi, although the line is not nearly as extensive.
What batteries do these need? I am interested in the blower and trimmer but Lowes doesn't link to any of the batteries? It just makes me assume they cost more than the products themselves? lol
Can one battery fit both products? Is the charger sold separately from the battery also? lol
