Looks like an old style, beginner, Stella or Kay, pawn shop, $20 special, from when I got started. The Gretch name, and Adorama, make it worth looking at if you have low expectations.

Thanks , bought a best seller guitar for my 11 year old daughter from Amazon for $50 , but we are struggling to keep it in tune ...I know nothing about guitars , but I don't want my little girl to lose interest ...so thinking seriously to get this

Neat looking but no it does not sound great; depending on what you want. I'm saying hear it first.

You must've never played one. I own one, along with close to 20 other guitars that are much more expensive. The Jim Dandy is the one guitar I'll never sell, and it's my most played guitar. The size is incredibly convenient, and it sounds great for blues, which is what it was made for. It was created to imitate the old blues guitars from the 40's and 50's. Just about every guitarist I know owns one and loves it.

I added a cheap pre wired p90 pickup to this from Amazon and I love it. Perfect price for something to experiment with. Tone is a little tin canish due to the smaller sizing but definitely playable.

Feels like a toy. Would be a good deal for $80-90. Don't get me wrong. It feels like a really really good toy. Better than a mini martin acoustic.

You're not wrong about anything you said. It's a great guitar. But you should add that you'll also never sell it because you wouldn't get a dime for it with it being so low most of the times lol. Every time I walk into GC it's been $120.

What are the stock strings? I agree it's great but broke a string and trouble recreating original sound

I totally agree. Surrounded by expensive guitars and this one may be my favorite. So much fun to strap on, walk around and annoy the family with my terrible warbling!!

Great parlor guitar, nice woody sound. I have a little trouble with the G tuner popping but not sure if it's the string, nut or tuner. I've been playing mine for a year and it's been great to slug to lessons. I love the matte finish but picks up some oil. The neck is really nice and smooth.

I'd buy it for sure at $119, but did spring for the Blue color and the Oxblood Red looks great too, but it's in the $300 range. But good value for these two colors listed in the deal!
