Yeah, I think that was obvious. It's a great deal for a teenager who needs a pair to wear a few times a year. Or a college student looking to get some interview shoes. They are just starter shoes.

Obvious?
Not to me.

$60 shoe at Macy's discounted to <$25, what did you honestly expect? At this price point, you're probably better off with the man-made materials than trying to force the worst "genuine leather" on it.

It's obvious you don't know the markup on excellent shoes.
No "excellent" shoe is MSRP $60 like the one in OP. Macy's doesn't really sell high quality men's shoes and Alfani is their house brand, so that's what I meant by saying it's obvious this is a low quality shoe.

I browse this site every day and have for like 15 years. The lowest I have ever seen brand new real leather upper men's dress shoes with a Goodyear welt was probably around $99 like ten years ago. Wish i bought 5 pairs then. Nowadays I'd pull the trigger at $150 but even that's very rare.

And to be clear when I say real leather upper I mean something like full grain, not low quality "genuine" leather.

Pro-tip: Use Amazon Warehouse. You buy shoes that are "used" but it just means the box was banged up or someone bought them and returned them right away. I've gotten Allen Edmonds at like 80% off MSRP that way and they arrive looking flawless.

People, we all need to be wearing suits and shoes made from recycled plastic. Much cheaper, more environmental friendly, always wrinkle free, and the benefits go on and on. We should see 99c stores carry plastic clothing items soon Smilie

Leather is way more sustainable than a shoe made of recycled plastic. I have full grain leather upper shoes than are over 10 years and just needed a new sole once. I dont think they make plastic shoes with goodyear welts and even if they did the upper would mangle very quickly anyway. You would have to replace a plastic shoe wayyyy more often than leather.

For suits... I mean you would burn alive in a plastic suit. Polyester is hot enough and probably gives you a good idea of what "recycled plastic" would feel like.

I looked at those last week with my son, he needs something for his prom. I figured for 1 night, I'm sure his friends aren't into fashion to know $30 shows from $130 shoes. He laughed at it, the front is really long and kind of pointy. it did look kind of funny. 😊

How to use amazon warehouse? Is it online or physical location?

Let teenagers use the best available. Youths need to develop good habits, feel best comfortable outfit, use best gadgets and grow up.
Synthetic leather and other junk should cost low, coz they don't replace/compete good goods, but only a temporary patch in emergency cases.

Not sure if you're trolling or not.
I think youth (my youth anyway) needs to understand that $ doesn't grow in trees and that if you want nicer things, it requires hard work and maybe a sacrifice on some other purchase.

Dont buy if you are not sure, as Last Act items can not be returned. You will lose money for shoes you dont like.
