I would say the return process in Target is better than Monoprice, so you can choose what you like best.

For Target, I was able to just take the guitar to the nearest Target and return it on the spot.
If the item is cheaper in Monoprice, it's a no brainier, but if Target has it cheaper (it happens from time to time), it's a hassle free transaction.

I had to return it for a defect. I just took it to my nearest Target and they took it and processed my return. I didn't have to contact Monoprice for anything.
Haven't dealt with Walmart on this so far, but I would be surprised if it was different.
By the way, the black one went down $10 ($169 with DAD50 coupon).
I think you can get it closer to $110.
