They split out storage and the bionic mind AI stuff, this is just shady! I would refund my homebase if not already past the refund period!
Emailed support multiple times and they kept saying basically nothing.
Camera quality is ok and no issues, but definitely stay away because they do not advertise accurately.

It is good, just do be aware eufy has been put on a sorta quiet boycott for their lying of mishandled user videos, essentially anyone could tap into the cameras because of lack of end to end encryption, they did "fix" this after denying it for a while but ppl have lost all trust in the cameras i think anker overall is still a good brand, i have their robo vaccume doorbell, chargers cables, and even an indoor cam i own guns so im not scared if ppl try to break in my house

is there another solar outdoor camera alternative that doesn't require a subscription? I'm all for an alternative, but until then I'm going with this one.

Double check the credit card you purchased the original unit on, specifically if it was Chase (Freedom Flex or Unlimited) or Amex (Blue Cash). They may have language in their purchase protection clauses that would afford you a refund, through the CC company directly. You purchased on a desired feature, your purchase was contingent on that feature, and ultimately that feature is not available. That's how I would describe it, if I were making an argument.
Not sure it be a worthwhile investment of time, but it would certainly be interesting. In my personal opinion, Eufy not rolling out face detection to floodlights is.. a tough argument to support this type of claim. Just my POV. I have no intimate knowledge of the purchase protection process. I've had ridiculous claims approved, and ironclad claims denied. Worth a try, IMO.
