No free memory upgrade to 512gb. With regular offer at 512GB free upgrade, it is $427 with education discount comparing to $449, hence not good deal for 512GB version. But good deal for 256GB.

The biggest upgrade is the 8gen2. I own both s22u and s23u, the s22u is constantly a hot potato while s23u is at most warm under heavy load. Other than the processor, the battery life is a huge improvement. At $200 difference probally it makes sense to upgrade but not over that.

They ship you your new phone with packing material. Some soft sheeting and a lot of cardboard that is long, shredded like a pair of 80s jeans, rolled up on the new phone. A fedex return label will be inside. You will need to tape it to the outside of the box, on top of the original label (or remove the original label and apply new one).

Get your new phone up and running first. Look for any issues for a week.

Do a factory reset on your old phone. take a picture of the screen with your new phone to show no issues of front and back while on. In case Samsung employee tries to pull a fast one on you.

Turn your old phone off and wrap it up. You can dop off at any Fedex drop off location or find a Dollar General store. They will scan the package and send a receipt notice via text to your phone. Samsung will receive a couple business days later and let you know they receive. Few more days until they get a chance to review and ok the trade-in.

Thanks Ben, Mine lists the codecs in developer options, but everything is greyed out, not allowing any switching. I miss the days when we could unlock the bootloader and do anything we wanted.
The codec can only be set when a device is actually paired. My
S22U and S8 have no issues using LDAC, AAC or SBC with my non Samsung earbuds. Could be a bug with the firmware your note20 is on. Or perhaps the Bluetooth device you have is defective

The price glitch on certain 512GB model has been fixed by Samsung website. Hold your wallet. See who is more stubborn.

App cart price is still $429 for a S22U trade in on all remaining colors 512GB. Only thing they fixed was removing the $100 discount on the two colors lime and blue. So still no deal for 512GB.

$275? You already wasted 1200 dollars on a brick that cost them less then 100 dollars to make.

The value is keeping your phone current and getting the maximum trade in value every generation

These are horrible phones. If the phone gets hot or has a bad battery, then it's a terrible phone. End of story. People like you, mindlessly buying whatever they sell whether it's good or not, is why they don't have basic features, like expandable storage.
Less than $100.. they have to import these phones overseas to the US, thats a cost. Plus the Koreans making them. Plus the parts. You think that computer chip is what? $3?. Clearly you don't work in tech.

Can I ship my s22 ultra without the S-pen, and still get the full trade in? Thinking of selling the s pen on Ebay, currently at around $25.

Seriously, time put into creating a sales page, packing it up , putting it in the mail, ebay commission , is it even worth the risk?

Tnobile is only available with this stupid Go5g plan. I don't mind the unlocked version, but I'm worried about updates and network performance. Any thoughts?
You can un-check the Go5G plan.

People saying its not worth upgrade if over $200. But here is the thing, your S22 ULTRA will be worth around $450 next year and S23 ULTRA will be around $750 so if you decide to upgrade again next year, you just got that $300 back.

I don't really understand what you are saying? You don't quality for an EDU? Creativity trumps complaints. Coming from a self employed, humble, older white guy.

I'm waiting simply because it was regularly $200 after TIV last year (even cheaper during June deal which when stacked with CB I actually made over 100 bucks). Certainly won't be as good as the June 2022 deal this year but I'm waiting for $200 or less after TIV again.

$250 is OK deal; my last phone (before I learned to trade up every year) lasted me 4 yrs, so 1.2K MSRP annualized over 4 yrs would be $300 per year. However, I don't really consider S23U at 1.2K as it's 1K on Amazon right now ($250 annualized), less if you buy on Swappa etc.
