No free memory upgrade to 512gb. With regular offer at 512GB free upgrade, it is $427 with education discount comparing to $449, hence not good deal for 512GB version. But good deal for 256GB.

The biggest upgrade is the 8gen2. I own both s22u and s23u, the s22u is constantly a hot potato while s23u is at most warm under heavy load. Other than the processor, the battery life is a huge improvement. At $200 difference probally it makes sense to upgrade but not over that.

They ship you your new phone with packing material. Some soft sheeting and a lot of cardboard that is long, shredded like a pair of 80s jeans, rolled up on the new phone. A fedex return label will be inside. You will need to tape it to the outside of the box, on top of the original label (or remove the original label and apply new one).

Get your new phone up and running first. Look for any issues for a week.

Do a factory reset on your old phone. take a picture of the screen with your new phone to show no issues of front and back while on. In case Samsung employee tries to pull a fast one on you.

Turn your old phone off and wrap it up. You can dop off at any Fedex drop off location or find a Dollar General store. They will scan the package and send a receipt notice via text to your phone. Samsung will receive a couple business days later and let you know they receive. Few more days until they get a chance to review and ok the trade-in.

Does PP still charge the fee for going through a credit card to make a purchase?

Or is that up to the CC company? (I know chase does it, discover is my other option and not sure)

You don't need to checkout on app, desktop browser works and you get the same pricing.
Login to pp, go to deals section, add the 4% samsung offer, then checkout through pp.
Once again how do you "get the same pricing" to show up on desktop browser? I tried using "save for later" feature in app then on desktop the price still goes up by $200

After couple chats with the Samsung customer care people this is the response I have received today thru email. looks like there is no way we can get the free upgrade and EPP discount together.

Samsung Response:

This E-mail is regards to the recent conversations, Upon checking with our resources we see that you are unable add promotion to the order ,The free memory upgrade offer ($180) is applicable only for the Green color variant and not stackable with EPP, The $200 instant rebate promotion is stackable with EPP and not stackable with the free memory upgrade offer. As we seeing the $200 promotion applied at the checkout, thus you cannot avail the free memory upgrade. the promotion is eligible to only one either you apply EPP on the order or free memory upgrade offer. Hope this information helps you.

Hope this helps guys.

I'm pretty sure the fee gets charged to the merchant.

I totally get that, but I'm willing to hold out a little longer given the historical deals last year. At the very least, $200 TIV came several times last year, so presumably even this $250 TIV would be repeated again.
Last year I earned over $300 on Zflip4 bought a $300-350 z flip3 trade-in and resell each phone I got more than $200 plus free earbuds and watch5.

EDU 512GB is $1026 - $750 trade-in = $276

You add to cart and Samsung uses bait and switch. Price is $429 + Tax = ~$510

Have spoken to 5 customer service members, through chat and calls. They say no these prices are not correct. They asked for screenshots, I sent them screenshots, they put me on hold and try to sell it to me for 449+tax. Eventually they all hang up the phone.

The typical India support team. Hello? Hello? Click, hang up.
Or "ok please wait on hold for 1 minute" click hang up the call.
Or "let me transfer you to my supervisor" click they hang up the call.
Typical for all India customer support for all companies. T-Mobile, Xfinity, Samsung, Google, ect.
Chat confirmed you cannot use the limited time app promo with student/employee/referral offer.
Stop over reacting because you cannot claim something not allowed. Lol

Long overdue I think. Security updates ended for S9 around a year ago didn't they?
