such a great game. I wish it would go on sale for Xbox, it was on gamepass and left and I don't want to start over again lol

I really really wanted to like this game, but combat is either:

soul grindingly difficult, even for minor battles

or

a gigantic cakewalk because you figured out and equipped the one true badge combo for bee

There's no middle ground. HUGE MISS in accessibility considering you could run through paper mario 1 & 2 completely badgeless if you wanted to.


This ultimately killed the experience for me. The plot also moves VERY slow. If every combat is hyper involved (trash fights shouldnt be) then everything just takes longer.
