Decent deal but I need 10th generation for native H.265 support. Some say 7th but 10th or better is best.

Junk. You have been warned.
Nonsense. Also, these nebulous comments on SD are useless and waste everyone's time, including yours. Tell us WHY you think what you think. I'm much more interested in that vs the one word final opinion of some rando on the internet who I don't know.
Explain your comment because these definitely aren't junk. We have probably close to 100 of these at various clients and aside from 2 motherboard replacements (which were around $20 on eBay btw) at one client due to a power issue with the environment, they have been very OptiPlex-like - efficient, quiet, easy to work on, and boring (in a good way).

I had a kill-a-watt on one for a while at work and it was 7.3W idling on the Windows desktop.
I believe it would go to somewhere in the 30W range when doing certain tasks.

Thanks OP. just got a Dell OptiPlex 3060 Small Form Factor, 1x Intel Core i5 6 Core (i5-8500) 3.00 GHz, 8 GB RAM, 128 GB SSD, DVD-RW, Intel Integrated Graphics, Windows 10 Professional.

This will be a blueiris NVR for a client. good for 8 4k cameras with 4tb drive in it. proxmox win10 and home assist and it's a central system for a home.
Setting up codeproject.ai with it?

Maybe dumb question, but I have an extra video card laying around. would it be possible to connect a large GPU to this (outside the case, obviously), assuming you have sufficient power for it? from what i remember the mobo has a pcie x16 slot. might could use for mining or running a gaming server or something?
Thanks in advance.

Depends on the size of the GPU really and you should at least get the SFF or MT model.

Yup, really depends on the case size and GPU size/TDP.
I have a few older MT units and I did a 1630 and 1650 in them since both are 75W cards and can power off the pcie slot directly without any extra connectors. They also have no issue with the stock PSUs.
Some people upgrade the PSU in the MT models or do an external PSU to run beefier cards but I didn't need that much video oomph and preferred to not hack my Optis to that degree.

Sorry for the dumb question but can you easily add one SATA drive to these small form factors?
Check this out -> https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0S8hFCG_uR0

If you are going to use a 3.5 in HD sata drive, probably not because there is really no space for another HD. Unless of course if you want to remove the optical drive.

If you're going to use 2 small sata drives (2.5 in SSD or HD), yes, you can use the sata cable of the optical drive for another sata drive and maybe you need a sata power cable splitter as shown in the video.

I use one of these to run Home assistant in proxmox. Works great with no issues.

Most of the time, when you cannot add an item to cart, it means it is OOS. And then the page will eventually update removing those OOS items.

Right now I can see there is only 1 model/configuration left (7 remaining) that can be added to cart. $150
