We've had the opposite experience. This is a mineral sunscreen, so it physically blocks the sun from damaging your skin. How is it horrible at protecting the skin?
Also use this brand. Have not had that issue. But it is mineral based which means it doesnt have all the chemicals but it does not apply as easily as those brands.
Mineral based = pasty powdery texture, more effort needed to spread. Creates a physical barrier.

Chemical based = harmful chemicals such as avobenzone. Easier to apply, but harmful to the body in the long run.

I haven't personally used this brand, but it is almost the same price for only 1 6oz bottle on Amazon, with almost 9k+ reviews. Seems solid to me.

One of the better sunscreens out there! Scores very high according to ewg as well, unlike the equate mentioned above.

Used thinksport before, and its harder to spread, but if its better for the skin than the convenient and easy ones, why not?

I also get the equate brand at Walmart and it's been great, why spend 14 times more?
Walmart has a similar 3 piece set for $1.42?

It's really hard to put on evenly. My kids whined whenever I made them put this on.

Really great price. Amazon has 1x 6oz for $20. Ordered 2 sets. Works great for my kids.

Fantastic sunscreen, zinc-based and best option for kids. We use it ourselves, great deal relative to pricing on Amazon and whole foods. In for two! Sunscreen can last multiple years, required by the Food and Drug Administration to remain at their original strengths for at least three years.

This is a great sunscreen when considering protection, and that it doesn't soak into the skin, the largest organ

That being said, if you have a slightly older child please be wary about this getting on you car door handles, leather seats, etc. It doesn't come off easily and if you miss it it only takes about 10-15 mins of sun to permanently discolour. We've used it for several years and just work around this by applying at our destination rather than at home, for example

Think you are mistaken. I'm not aware Think brands have avobenzene or any of the bad chemicals. I checked their list of ingredients and do not see it either. They use Zinc Oxide as the main protectant. We have been using them for many years and (outside of the white glow it may give you), they have been THE BEST we have ever used.
Actually you are mistaken.

What I said was Walmart's Equate brand is Avobenzone based and the reason I used ThinkBaby version is because it doesn't burn my eyes (because of the Avobenzone).

I put a ton of this sunscreen on my face several times ( I have fair skin) and got burned each time. Walmart's Equate brand rated significantly better than this.

There is absolutely no credible evidence of this anywhere.

Please read and educate yourselves. Study after study after study has shown avobenzone to be safe.... and certainly safer than sun exposure

UV A and UVB protected were rated as an F (1 out of 5 ... the lowest score) by consumer reports. This directly confirms my experiences. The UVB protection is atrocious for this product, especially for the price.

My side has a huge body of evidence behind it + first hand experiences.
Yours has first hand experience.

Which should SDers believe?
