Kenmore just rebrand from other manufacturers. You have to look at the model number prefix to find out who's the actual maker. this one is made by Daewoo. tons of bad reviews on Amzn. I would avoid.

You can try to call LG to see if they can reimburse you if you still have the receipt. Maybe they will do, you never know. Smilie
The compressor part has a 10 year warranty. However up until the class action suits the labor (more than 50% of the total repair cost) was only covered for the 1st year. After the lawsuits the labor is covered for 5 years. But good luck finding a place that will actually do the repair. Fortunately for me there was one within 50 miles when the compressor in my LG French door refrigerator died at 5 years 6 months.

I don't need to stock extra kimchi because the Korean market has tons for sale. My friend "Grandma" makes it way better than I can. Totally worth kicking a few bucks her way to avoid the hassle and gain the benefits of her experience.

I got mine a week ago and still feeling it out. It is bigger than I thought it would be but it fit... barely. I cannot get the door water to work but ice works. Not sure if I'm doing something wrong but I feel like I tried everything. They did price match it down from $800 to $500. I'm very worried about the reviews but it seems like a nice fridge if it holds up and $500 is cheaper than cheap. I was actually planning on cancelling my order until they price matched. I have to see what Kenmore says about the water dispenser.

Same for me. Just got it few hours ago and Water dispensers not working. Too soon to say about ice, but can't complain for $500 fridge. Hope it can be fixed by the tech.
