What's the difference between the AX and CX series? Which one is better? Their website doesn't even show the CX series side by side.

they are the same - afaik - just for different retailer (retailer won't have pressure to match other's price)

I've been tempted to buy one of these TeamGroup drives but the warranty is the only thing that stops me. I wish they had a local USA RMA process.

This is a copy and paste from the Amazon Q&A section.

Customer Questions & Answers

Q: Review below says their hard drive died in 4 months time and they were told to ship it to Taiwan at their cost. Is this your company warranty?
A: Hi Customer,

Thank you for contacting TEAMGROUP Customer Service.

With regard to the TEAMGROUP RMA process, please be informed that TEAMGROUP provides repair or replacement services under warranty claim and you may have to pay for return shipment freight (Taiwan). However, TEAMGROUP will pay for the freight charge when we return the repaired or replacement products to your side.

In addition, we provide a 3-year limited warranty for TEAMGROUP AX2 SSD.

For more information about TEAMGROUP Warranty Policy and RMA, please visit the official website.

TEAMGROUP official website >> Support >> Warranty Policy or Request Repair (for RMA requirements/steps)

Thank you for choosing TEAMGROUP products!

Best regards,
Joy

Honestly, I'm starting to think it's just the label sticker with Team Group. I ordered a Vulcan Z not long ago (because the reviews said it had a SM2259 XT controller) and it ended up having a Phison controller inside it when it arrived just like an AX2 drive I had also ordered previously. I forget what brand flash they had, but both were TLC and pretty much performed similarly....about 80-90 Mb/s after the SLC cache is exhausted on big file copies.

i have run into the same issue with mp33 drive, for a $30 drive the cheapest cost via usps to ship to Taiwan was $15.

I have a 1TB BX500 used for external storage on an Xbox S. Will this 2TB be comparable to it in terms of performance?
