Easily the best center channel at this price point. The 450c sounds fantastic for HT, can't say enough good things about it. $235 is a joke for such a high quality center! Wish I did not already have 2 of them or I would buy it in a second at this cheap of a price!

I was torn between this center channel and the SVS Center Prime (I bought for my upstairs system due to it's wide dispersion for our seating arrangement), which works perfectly.

Got a deal on Amazon warehouse for the SVS and it's due tomorrow - but I would have gotten this instead....hmmmm......Return the SVS and buy this deal....hmmmmm....

I'm almost certain the SVS is costing you more? I have heard the Svs center and it's real good, however, the 450 is just much better when there is male voices that are in the lower registers. The accuracy is spot on fantastic on male voices and I would also say the horn does a slightly better job with female ones as well. The dispersion on it is also fantastic! The sensitivity is very high, plus the crossover design is running 2 full drivers for low end, two full drivers for mid and then the horn {Tweeter's Frequency range (1500Hz ~ 25kHz) 2. Inner 2 woofers' frequency range (500Hz ~ 1500Hz) 3. Outer 2 woofers' frequency range (58Hz ~ 500Hz)}. I have heard a ton of cheap and good centers over the years. IMHO at this price point you would have to go well over $1K to do better. If you bought the Svs from amazon, you could buy 450C from there ebay listing for the same price and use the "30 days returns, Seller pays for return shipping." You could test both out and keep the one that you ears like better. Sending back to amazon is easy if need be & ebay always stands behind the buyer so newegg must take it back no charge to the buyer..That way you will never have to say," hmmm, what if I would have liked the other one better but I did not try it out?" lolWave

Which one did you end up getting? I am debating Klipsch 450c vs svs prime center

you can't compare the r-25 as it is lower end and does not have the three way design of the 450c /503 that makes it sing... Nothing can touch the 450/502's at $300 or less! until you get up to well over $1000. the svs sounds fine but it does not have the presence and accuracy in voices that the Klipsch units have especially when you get to a mans lower voice where the difference is really evident!
