Its one of those things. If you know, you know. Easy money.
That's B.S. Wifey and I apply for at least 6-8 cc's/year and our credit rating is around 830/ea. Applying for a cc makes a tiny hit to your cc rating which goes away pretty quickly.
If your credit rating is so bad that your worried about this, then you have bigger financial problems to solve.
The amount of new accounts opened per year is only a small percentage of the overall credit formula. The majority of your score is based on you debt to income ratio. I open around 4 cards per year and sit around 790-810 credit score. That is still in the range to get the best available interest rates.

Me too Have 835 credit score. But I have a few Chase cards. Don't care as I'll use this for Amazon purchases. Got the $200 just now but had to unfreeze and refreeze all my accounts with the big 3.

Check your chase account and see if your limit is higher. The email I got said $5000 initial credit limit and then I checked my chase account after it's been added and it shows $15,400 credit limit for me.

The way I read my email, it's $5000 CL for immediate use, until you get your physical card and the remaining credit becomes available.

Probably the credit usage? I have 3 cards and this one gave me 20k plus credit
So my wife has the Amazon Prime account in her name. I have the solid credit though. Can I apply under her account and have it loaded to her account? Guessing they won't let spouses do that since name on Prime Account needs to match cc.
yes you can there's an option to fill your name and ssn
Applied 7/19, and received the "additional review needed" despite having excellent credit.
Still no response, written or electronic, regarding the status.
Anyone else have to wait this long (either way) to find out ?
Depends on reason. There is a department that can help but you get transferred a lot. Mine was declined due to a credit freeze and got someone who was able to approve right away.
I didn't know anything about this deal till I saw an ad on Amazon offering me $200 gc when I am approved for the Prime Card. I applied July 12 and said additional review needed. Next day I got an email from Credit Karma saying there was an inquiry that was blocked @ TransUnion because it's frozen. I did the freeze in 2018 and completely forgot about it. I unfroze it on the 13th and nothing seems to have happened. Just happened to find this thread here at SD and see that the deal ended on the 26th. I was going to call tomorrow (# mentioned earlier in this thread) but wondering what my odds are that I won't get the $200 because that deal has expired, in which case I don't want it. hmmm anyone have any thoughts ?
