You went on a 250 word diatribe to say exactly what I said in 3 sentences. Lint can get past the filter but it's a dryer vent, not a lint expulsion hose. Lint in the vent causes fires, it's not the intended purpose, it's a byproduct.
LOL, you said dryer vents do not expell lint, but they do. I don't get it. Are you lying or just trying to argue. What's the angle here pal?

Had no idea such a thing existed in the world. It vents into the room it's in? How well does this perform?

Looks like Costco is paying slickdeals to get these as hot deals. These used to be so cheap, under $1000.

I know slickdeals is struggling to survive and has been doing layoffs. But don't deviate from the core value proposition.
I think a lot of previous models weren't as advanced though (ventless and using a much more effecient heat pump to dry clothes). But yeah, SD certainly isn't what it used to be. Aside from one in a million YMMV deals (since all the resellers scoop em up), there isn't much more than advertisements. Should be called lukewarm deals.

That's what I've been trying to figure out, how well it works. Some say it takes forever but they're talking about other models. A reviewer on HD says it only takes 2 hrs from start to finish to do a load, so that contradicts what a lot of others are saying here. And no, it seems to just recycle the air some how but don't get how that works because where is all the moisture going to get off to. I hope that it doesn't just spit it out into the laundry room because that would make one nasty moldy mess after a few years. Nobody really seems to know much about this particular unit since it's fairly newish and there's not many reviews, particularly long-term usage reviews.

They have these in Europe. These are real fun, takes about 6 hours to get damp cloths.

I think I would like a machine that did everything. Even if it takes 5 hours. I'm never in a rush to wash clothes, but I have forgotten to move my clothes from the washer to the dryer a million times. This completely eliminates a chore that is hard for me to remember with my tiny brain. At least my new washer texts me when it's done. But it would be dope to just throw dirty clothes in and come back 5 hours later and have clean clothes.

I recently purchased one of those machines from BestBuy a couple of days ago, but I have decided to return it and purchase it from Costco instead. Overall, I believe it is a great machine. In terms of drying time, it is just as fast as a regular dryer. However, there is an issue with the heat pump noise. It produces a noticeable buzzing noise that can be bothersome. If you plan to place the dryer in a location such as the kitchen or any other area within your apartment or house, the noise can be heard throughout. Although it is not excessively loud, it can be compared to the sound produced by a dehumidifier or a window AC unit without the fan noise, which I personally find to be slightly worse. The fan noise would mask the buzzing sound of the heat pump, but with this particular unit, there is only the sound of the heat pump, which is more pronounced. You could run it overnight since you don't have to worry about leaving your clothes wet.
How about Lint, must be tons inside some filter catcher thing. Comparing to traditional one where some lint is caught and some sent to exhaust.

It's pretty good apparently:
  1. Washes and dries in 2:15 hrs total
  2. Automatic detergent and softener dispensing based on load
  3. Good with pet hair
  4. No dryer vent as the heat is recirculated to dry
  5. Lint removal at the top
  6. Smart washer/dryer with app notifications.

I don't understand this comment at all. And think you me at to say throughput, not throughout. Are you saying this things is slow because of the heat pump technology or something (don't know about that aspect of it yet as this is my first time hearing of this combo so I'll have to delve into some reviews)? Or are you saying you can't wash and dry clothes at the same time? If so, that's a foolish comment as you can only wash a load of clothes at once anyway. Or are you the type of person that lets dirty laundry collect and then do several loads right after each other? I guess of throughput (if that's what you were trying to say) is an issue, then get two of these LOL. I don't know, thinking the convenience of this thing far outweighs the cons (put a load in, set it and forget it). Plus I'm sure many could benefit from having the extra storage this would provide with the absence of a dryer.
No need to be offensive. Families often have "laundry day" and for me that's a single night onslaught of about 6 loads, one in, one out. With 2 machines assuming an hour for each wash/dry, 6 loads can be complete in 7 hours. With this combo it would be 12 hours. Pretty sure that's the point.

Now, for those short on space, single folks, people willing to embrace the heat pump technology ... this may be cool. It has its place. Just not as a solo family unit.

Hmm. I could cannibalize the 240v going to the dryer for a hot tub and save big bucks.
