the lamp listed as included in the 1 yr benq warranty without any other info is a little weird on the first one as a replacement lamp purchased directly from benq only has a 90 day /500 hour warranty (whichever comes first) https://www.benq.com/en-us/projec...t3550.html
Wish the HT3500 had a slightly more lumens, but for that price (and free shipping/returns) it's definitely worth trying. Will finally upgrade a Optima 1080 projector from 2014 that has the original bulb and just won't die.

It's meant to be a blackout home theater style projector. If you want brighter they make things like TK700/800 series but in general when brightness goes way up you do sacrifice color accuracy and contrast some at times to get a more vibrant image. Really it's about what you care about more, movie watcher in dark room go for something like this. Gamer/sports watcher a lot maybe with some ambient light around, go for something with higher lumens.
Unpacked mine yesterday. Something is broken inside because when I picked it up something is rattling terribly inside. Contacted seller to see about an exchange. We'll see.
Got mine 2 days ago and no issues. Arrived with new remote and the projector was packaged as if new, not a mark. 17 hours on the lamp. No issues whatsoever, looks great in a light controlled room.

the BenQ tk800 refurb was sold by the same ebay vendor for $800, but is currently OOS... I'm definitely picking this up next time it becomes available. 2000 lumens is just impractical if you don't have a blacked out theatre room (and not all of us do.)

Couldn't they have reset the lamp hours?
