Let us know when the last deal ($15.99) is back - that was probably even more popular.

I still buy CDs because I liked having a physical copy of music (a dying concept no doubt, but works for me). So I can rip the CDs, then make high quality mp3s and put them on a flash drive to use with my car's stereo. The sound quality is better than streaming and if I lose or damage the drive, I just make another since they're so cheap now.

I have a USB-C hub which I'm using for my MBA's TB port. Will this work if I plugged it into a USB-A port on the hub? I assume it would work.

I was hoping to see it for $15.99 again, but if you need it now and don't want to wait and hope it drops another $4, it's probably worth picking up now. Either price is a lot better than the original $39.99 it was when I checked last week.

Edit: And now it's FP. I guess some people still think it was a worthy deal Smilie

Probably if your usb-c to usb-a adapter / hub doesn't introduce any delays in the signal and provides sufficient power.

Really most hubs / adapters work fine with printers, scanners, monitors and such, so dvd burners ought to be fine.

..

Or just buy a usb-c drive

These are literally dime a dozen. They sell buffalo brand (not the greatest) Nib on mercari for 10 bucks shipped.

I asked the same question years ago. It will happen eventually because the products exist, even from LG. But for now the prices are still awful.
