PS. Most of them only come with USB 2.0 because they don't see much improvement even with USB 3.0.
EDIT: looks like I was wrong. USB 3 external DVD drives can be had for under $20... if you don't mind no-name brands. (Mougerk? Doosl?? Rioddas???)

It only cost $20 because it's USB 2.0 and not expensive to make. You start looking for a USB 3 DVD and top ripping speeds, expect to pay a lot more too. Probably have to use an external case with full size 5.25 optical drive to get USB 3, or find a external Blu-ray that comes with it.
