You're right, it's not the same. A lot of TVs have PWM flicker. It's a cheap way that manufacturers use to control the brightness of the screen by adding some breaks without light which can cause headaches and tired eyes. There's a reason why you see "flicker free" noted in monitor specs. Also, I haven't tried looking but I don't think there are very many $200 white TVs out there is you want that color for aesthetic reasons.

I really wish it was more than 60hz and wasn't a VA panel. But it's still a good price for a hybrid tv/monitor.

Thanks for the post. Although it doesn't seem perfect it fits well into my use model of business/single cable laptop monitor + bedroom tv. I just wish it had home more usb for keyboard.

I ordered yesterday and agent would not give the 10 percent. Still happy with this monitor for 270 plus tax. Delivery is not expected until July 7th unfortunately, good info on the potential monitor switch. Hopefully they do the switches and ship more quickly Smilie

Don't expect free upgrade as they wouldn't bring this back from dead unless they expect more units of M80B. I had one order for a while and they didn't upgrade to "C", instead, updated the delivery date to July 7th

It's not quite the same thing. This smart monitor does a bit more than smart TV and providea better connectivity between devices (laptop, tablet, phone). But of course, you can buy other dongles and camera to achieve and the same thing but it's not as integrated as this. Hence the reason for slightly more cost. But $270 for 32in productivity monitor is actually pretty good.
