In general if you were coming into the sport looking for the "one trail bike" with decent amounts of travel that you could still be pedaled well, and could tackle virtually any trail without holding you back for years to come (or, "forever"), one of the first suggestions should be the Ibis Ripmo.
Tbh, the 25% discount has been running for the whole 2023.
Details from GG website:
"We are proud to be the only U.S. manufacturer of a full line of carbon mountain bikes. From design and engineering to the Fusing Machine and assembly all of our frames are created right here in the U.S. of A."

I don't see Gorilla Gravity bikes around too often, but this looks like a killer deal. Carbon frame, carbon bars, XTR drivetrain, XT brakes for $3,700.
Yeah, I'm not that familiar with them either other than knowing they're a boutique brand that's even smaller in scale than Ibis. I work next to Ibis HQ but GG seems like the better value here.

They are using a version of the DW Link design, which before the latest SI (switch infinity) Yeti/Fox iteration was "the" staple for all-around kinematics.

Lots of bikes at more reasonable prices these days. Used bike prices are essentially back to normal as well so don't ignore the listings on Pinkbike and your local CL and FB listings…

Also unique to GG is the ability to move the headset around in the headtube to change the head angle without pressing a new headset. It makes the front end of the bike look a little chunky, but it's a good feature that helps riders find what works best for them. Many of their rear triangles are also interchangeable, so you can pick-and-mix parts to make just about any bike you're interested in.
tl;dr GG are a leader in US-made MTB and are extra worth your time at this price.

Yeah for roughly $1k more than the aluminum frame Ibis it seems like the XTR and carbon frame GG is the better value with better suspension albeit in 27.5 instead of 29 which is a deal breaker for me though.
