This for $799 or Dell Inspiron plus 14 i71200h for $670?

https://www.dell.com/en-us/shop/d...420-laptop

Got a great price at 799-120 Amex and additional cashback

Dell seems good other than battery and the 12 gen processor compared to 13
Main differences if worth the extra $130 to you

ASUS: brighter, 120hz, higher res OLED. 7-9% performance on 13th gen. 2 USB-C thunderbolt ports vs 1 on Dell.

Dell: Anti glare screen, microSD slot, 2 USB-A vs 1 on ASUS.

Battery seems about average to slightly below average on both laptops.

Also things they are personal preference like the keyboard. Some people say they really like the new Dell Inspiron keyboards for instance. For me a mediocre trackpad can ruin a laptop, but this isn't something you can find out without handling the laptop.z

Agree on the 32GB, I want the flexibility to run VMs. Soldered 16GB is not desirable. I am not concerned about drive size because I can always upgrade.

yes i struggle with 16gb had to delete WM.

Get the ASUS. You'll be infinitely happier with the OLED screen.

Comparing this deal with a refurbished Lenovo Slim 7i Pro X for $799 16gb 6800HS [ebay.com] or the $899 32gb AMD 6900HS processor [ebay.com] on eBay. Isn't OLED screen burn-in a concern? Which one is the better deal?

I don't mind the certified refurbished since I had a positive experience with eBay's 2-year Allstate warranty.

Wish it had a numpad, even if it makes it bigger. Anything like that out there at this price?

I am looking for a review that measures the actual screen brightness. Please link if you know of one. Thanks.
Same, I need a bright enough screen to use outdoors. Everything else is not as important for my use. Anyone have this at full brightness outside? Can I DJ at the park without a canopy?

How will this do with light gaming like Divinity Original Sin, Dead Cells, Octopath Traveler, and Pillars of Eternity?

How will this do with light gaming like Divinity Original Sin, Dead Cells, Octopath Traveler, and Pillars of Eternity? Looking for a laptop to 90% consume media on a nice screen, but have that other 10% be some light games 60 frames without it having to be a gaming machine.

How does Zenbook's keyboard compare with that of Thinkpad. I have never owned/used a Zenbook. I like Thinkpad's keyboard but they have become too expensive to buy newer models.

I purchased and returned a zenbook flip 12th gen 12700h last november because the speakers were horrendous. Like, horrendous. Far worse than my 2017 $500 lenovo flex 5. Otherwise, it was a good machine with a huge battery and beautiful screen.

Anyone know if this one has better speakers? $800 is definitely great if the speakers are good. I don't expect Macbook Pro or Yoga 9i speakers, but they gotta be decent...

Thinkpad keyboards are the benchmark but these are 95% there. Plus the trackpad is better and bigger than ThinkPads.
