For those in the market for a 256GB USB-C flash drive, this Kingston flash drive looks like a better deal to me and it is USB 3.2.
Not saying they're all bad but I've had horrible luck with Kingston flash drives, I've had 2 fail in under a year. Meanwhile every Samsung drive I've owned is still kicking.
Yes...have you used Plex or Infuse? Much nicer user interface than cheap/free stuff like VLC. Full movie info, actors, tons of metadata all presented in a very nice interface. Unlike Plex, Infuse is Apple-only and it supports external drives and automatically updates your library as you add movies to the drive.

Cheaper for a reason. It's bigger, and who knows what the speed is. They don't list the actual read/write speed. It is USB 3.2 Gen 1 which is basically the same as USB 3.0. No difference in speed. You need USB 3.2 Gen 2 to get faster speeds.

For what it's worth, I had a kingston CF card for about 10 years before I stopped using it (because of my new cameras using SD.. the card itself still works fine). And the only two memory cards that ever failed on me were both Samsung (SD cards). Having said that, I have several other Samsungs that works flawlessly and I bought a new Samsung a couple of weeks ago.
This is to say, I wouldn't hesitate to buy Samsung or Kingston. Every brand will have a few or few batches of these failures, so go buy whatever meets your requirement for speed and/or capacity knowing there is a good chance any of them fails.

Lukewarm deal.
Lowest price so don't wait if you're in the market for one.
I use these for media (movies) and plug into my iPad Air and use InFuse for a very rich media experience.
