Test drove this laptop for a couple of weeks, it's a fantastic productivity laptop with solid casual gaming performance. Great specs for the price and a steal at this price Imo.

Build quality was good, battery life was good, screen was very good (though a bit dim for my liking @350 nits), trackpad is very generously sized. Typing was excellent for this category (good feedback and key travel, scooped keys vs flat)…very noticeable typing improvement vs it's nearly identical intel counterpart which has a mushy keyboard and flat keys with terrible feedback.

The 3050 isn't the best dGPU ofc and it's hamstrung with low Tdp due to size of this laptop…but it's the newer 6gb version and it's miles ahead of any intel integrated graphics, and the integrated Radeon graphics are also better than intel's offering. I was able to play games like LoL at ultra settings and native resolution at 120+ FPS easily….so this is great if you are a casual gamer and don't need the latest AAA titles at ultra settings. Fans are not very loud but noticeable when gaming. Didn't hear them at all during my coding/office suite/internet browsing use.

I really loved the combination of size and power this laptop offered. I returned mine because I wanted more of a desktop replacement, but for someone on the go I really think you'll be hard pressed to find better value than the slim pro 7. I'm gushing over this laptop a lot but that's just because I enjoyed using it so much, part of me still regrets returning it when I look at the 6 lb replacement sitting on my table. Maybe you'll get the one I returned 2 weeks ago lol.

BB also has it on sale new for $899. Lowest I've seen it is during their one day sale for $850, which is what I paid.

Decided to bite on this one. Had been waiting around for the Swift X deal, but figure for a $34 difference, you get:
-Better screen (higher resolution, 90 Hz)
-Better build quality
-Better speakers
-Better performance (as far as benchmarks are concerned)
-Higher wattage RTX 3050 w/ 6 GB VRAM instead of 4 (likely not a huge difference, but still)
-Other niceties like 1080p webcam/Windows Hello, USB4, PCie Gen 4 SSD

Just gotta play the open box lottery - worse case scenario, should be an easy return.

Had this, great laptop for $849. But I grabbed a Samsung book3 pro 360 on open box for $1178 which fit my needs better
Where'd you find that?

I got one, can't recommend it enough. Yes it does get a little loud/toasty in games. Runs incredibly well, great screen/resolution/refresh rate.

Key hard-to-finds are:
  • 7xxx Ryzen (latest)
  • DDR5 + 16gb + fast clock rate
  • Dedicated GPU (RTX 3050) + 6gb edition over the older 4gb.
  • QHD 1440p display + 90hz
  • Slim/small 14" form factor (yesterday's 14", today's 14.5" thanks to bezel advances)
  • SSD upgradeable (2tb 980 pro in it now)
  • USB4
  • USB-C high wattage (140W) charging.

It's a unicorn and even new $899 is a good deal. Open-box is a steal.

You'll be waiting a lot longer if you want it for $664.

Just came from picking this up. I had purchased the Acer Swift x (algea blue)from a few weeks back.

I opened them side by side and can tell the difference in screen brightness instantly.

The Acer was a good machine. This one seems to be great. Also big plus of window Hello from the IR camera, slightly better gpu, and touch screen. I picked it up for $640. No Brainer

Not trashing the Acer. But that fan would kick off under the slightest pressure.

Is there a way to search within X miles ? Or search for any store that has it in stock?

The BB site sucks. But would love to get one.
I already missed out on the other lenovo deal, this one is way warmer!
