This might be out of the price range to be considered a slickdeal but if you're in the market for a capable mountain e-bike this could be a good deal. This is for their 2021 versions of their Turbo Levo SL line which are designed to be lightweight for an e-bike with less assistance than a full-fledged e-mountainbike. They come with a motor capable of up to 240 watts of pedal assistance and will assist up to speeds of 20mph/32 km/h which makes this a Class 1 e-bike. Check your local laws regarding the legality of operating a class 1 e-bike on trails.
These are designed after Specialized's non-electric Stumpjumper line if you're familiar with them. The front fork and rear shock can do 150mm of travel which is going to be plenty for most weekend warriors that will attack the trails.
If you're looking for more assistance at the expense of additional bike weight (and maneuverabily), you would be looking at their Turbo Levo line (not SL) but the deals aren't as good currently.
If your size is sold out online, you might be able to find it at your local authorized Specialized dealer which is what I had to do. They even threw in no tax for the holidays which saved me nearly an additional $500 but YMMV. You can try to negotiate by calling around.

No, you can't "derestrict" it to have more power. Even if you could unlock the firmware, and you can't, it's built for absolute minimum weight and would burn up.
There's nothing wrong with the bike itself. But in my experience, you probably won't be happy with it. That's why resale is so bad: everyone buys it, realizes they should have bought a full-power Class 1 ebike, and passes it on to another rider just getting into ebikes who finds out the same thing.

It only seems to be $1k off the retail price so it doesn't seem as good of a deal as the SL. The no tax was in-store at a Specialized shop. They told me they were doing a promotion for no tax on bikes in the store but I asked them if they could do it for a bike I would order through them and they said no initially but I kept asking and the manager agreed to it to make the sale.

These SL bikes are better for very fit riders IMO.
I do really like these newer lighter weight ebikes that are coming out. I tried to talk my wife into one, but she doesn't want to ride an ebike.

My riding buddy has this generation Super Light (SL) and generally can keep up most reasonable climbs. We can easily lose him going up if we wanted, but for hanging out and riding, he's not the slowest in the group.
He has a Fox Factory 36 and uses an external piggy-back battery to go with us for 3 hours. He swapped the derailleur to AXS. Otherwise, same motor, battery, frame, wheels, and shock.
Aren't those more expensive (street price not msrp)?
Nah should really be about similar to the specialized, especially if you can find older models. I got a 22 Orbea Rise H15 for $5,100, so about 30% off
