I have several OLED's over the years....Not abused and they are fine

You understand that the Z9D was widely considered the best LCD ever made
So for me I would need to step to another Z series to match what I already have plus have the updates for technology
I dont have the ability to unsee some picture quality aspects of TCL televisions
But understood...sounds like we have wildly different priories in panels

Professionals and videophiles would disagree
Ditto with the A95K and A90 OLED/QD OLED
I dont know if I ever seen a best of the best list...for any format or technology ...where Sony wasnt top tier
There are expensive...always have been...so nothing has changed there
I personally dont think TCL and Hisense are on par with Sony and Samsung. I personally own Sony , Samsung and Hisesne LCDs

If you are not at that tier price point my choice would be the Samsung QN90B
Still a better overall TV than any TCL or Hisesne
I bought an open box 65" Samsung QN90a for $685 a little more than a year ago
For that money it was a steal. At the $999 price that many bought it for on sale it was a very solid buy that does every thing well or at least pretty good and it has no real downsides
For me in an LCD.. Poor panel uniformity is a deal breaker. Bad blooming control is a deal breaker. Quality of picture processing/upscaling is very important to me
I also have a Vizio P series( 2016) that I dont really use any more. Black level is good as is the panel uniformity, however the upscaling is poor

You are a TV snob and why would you come on a TCL thread then if you have no interest in what you call Low End TVs. See what I'm saying.
As for what is better the performance specs and reviews speak for themselves
I am not sure what you mean by jumping in..You jumped on a response I made and it sounds like you didnt read the chain of what I was responding to
I never said I got a deal on a Z9K, not sure where you got that from
There are some apples and oranges as the Z9K is an 8K TV
But I think the Samsung Q90B is good example...4K and a still better overall performance than anything from Hisense or TCL...AND if you care about it....better resale when you try to unload it in 2-4 years

If you think twice as much I dont think you have been looking
Again..I won Hisese and Vizio..LOL
I have had the ability to sit them side by side
Whether its worth the difference in an exercise in willingness and capability and each person makes those choices
However the performance numbers are the performance numbers

You seem to making up things as well...if I wasnt a fan of TCL I would have said that. I simply spoke about its performance and those are just facts
I completely get that expectation typically needs to change when you spend less
You didnt answer my question...did you read the chain of what I was responding to in its entirety ?
If you did then you have your answer as why I respeonded
