Crucial sucks. Stay with samsung. I bought it and had to return it as transfer rates dropped to 50mbs which is even worse than physical disks.

Cause X8 is QLC and the way the cache works on that model it'll slow down considerably during a sizable transfer. However since it's a 4TB it'll have a decent size cache and you may want to look it up.

this is a great price and their speed is great on the 2tb.

additional $12 cb prime visa.

wouldn't get samsung anymore. tried a t7 touch and video wouldn't play back without constantly stopping and being jittery.

Crucial has a pretty big cache, so for smaller workloads it will be faster than Sandisk, but for longer and persistent writes, Sandisk and Samyang T7 will perform better.
