Is this really a slick deal at $300? I feel like this should be at least $280 or below especially on Prime Day.
Just get the Renewed one that's $189.95

Is this "self-cleaning" just because you can put soap and water in it and turn it on to clean? Or is there something else that makes it self cleaning? I've cleaned my old Vitamix that way for years - just didn't know why it was being marketed as self-cleaning.

How does this compare to the 750 that comes up on woot for $300 from time to time? Admittedly the woot 750 are the more out-there colors that are tough to match in the kitchen.

Is this better than e520 at costco? e520 is $320 right now at costco.
Any advice on these two?

Renewed one seems to be the Vitamix e320, whereas this deal is the 5200. Seem like very similar models though

Taller base can be better as it creates the vortex.

I have the 750 from a price mistake (paid $241 a year ago) and think it's very nice. I only make shakes and smoothies so I can't comment on every preset but I haven't had any issues with anything Vitamix. It's definitely more powerful than 5200 but I don't know if it's enough to justify the extra cost especially at full price compared to this.
It's not 5200 is the gold standard and essentially all subsequent models are based on this, everything above and beyond is fluff and frills

Aren't all blenders self cleaning with a drop of soap and water? Well that is what I have always done anyway…
That was my first thought when I saw the post laugh out loud

Yeah I have the 5200, the self cleaning is just as you describe. Nothing special but it does do it very well. Half water and some soap and it gets just about every speck in 60s. It shouldn't be part of the title, but I guess it does do it technically.
