    there is an additional 20% off if you trade in an amazon device. i was able to trade in a amazon fire for $3 but it gave me an additional $50 off the price of the cheapest scribe for a total of around 200 before tax. discount applied after the trade-in is dropped off at wholefood.

    I also did that. Echo Dot trade-in for $5 got me a massive discount. Easily worth it.

    How does the trade-in process work?
    The terms says I can get 20% off a new Kindle (applied after Amazon received and appraised my trade-in). I'm pretty sure the sale will end by the time Amazon has received and appraised the Fire TV Stick I traded in.

    They give you the 20% right up front. You just have to send in your device whenever. I assure you I didn't send them anything beforehand, because I'm like six hours drive away from home this week. Smilie

    I also did a trade in for an old Kindle Fire. It immediately gave me the 20% discount (off the list price, not the Deal of the Day price) and a $25 discount for the Fire. The only uncertainty is if, when they receive it, they find that the Fire is not in the condition I said, in which case they will reduce the trade to $5. I'm not sure how they recover the $20 difference if that happens.

    Not all accounts get instant trade-in credit. I've had both offers in the past and today was offered "credit on receipt"
