Just leaving this comment here for the benefit of others - This is the Edge (Mediatek processor) and not the Edge + with the Snapdragon processor.

I have a pixel 6a and this Moto edge. Other than the updates, the Moto is a much better daily driver. I've been using it since December and have found it perfectly capable. The screen is impressive and bright. The camera has a larger main sensor than my galaxy S 22, and although the software is weaker, it takes really nice photos that look great even printed out at 8.5 by 11. The speakers are much better than my galaxy or iPhone. The media Tech is surprisingly responsive, although obviously not as fast as the snapdragon in the Edge plus. It's very lightweight and feels nicely balanced in the hand. I'm sure others will disagree vehemently, but I heartily recommend this phone at this price.

The megapixel count isn't what matters on modern smartphones. It's just a marketing figure. The AI software that's processing the photo is what matters. Also, the quality of the sensor is more important than the pixel count. The Pixel 7 line only has a 50MP camera and it's tied with Samsung and Apple's flagships for the best photos. Moto has inferior software than the leading manufacturers. Moto has a phone with a 200MP camera, yet it takes inferior photos to even the Pixel 5's 12MP camera. Depending on what you're documenting, the Moto may still be fine, though. It's not like the photos will be a completely blurry mess. They just won't look as crisp and photogenic.

I have the 2020 Moto Edge Plus (snapdragon 865) I payed 100$ on the used for it ,and the 2022 Moto Edge (mediatek ) I payed 80$ on the used market. What I can say is that the 90hz on the edge plus feels choppy which ruins the smooth experience of the phone! I can do sooooo much on the edge plus and I use "Ready For" for playing gamecube games on my 55inch tv and it's awesome to have a pocket console. On the other hand, the 2022 moto edge has the 144hz that feels AMAZING and is 144hz almost always EXCEPT when it chokes for like a micro second because it's a mediatek LOL. The edge plus feels choppy because I personally dislike 90hz, but the phone doesnt ever lag because the large amount of RAM. Whereas, the moto edge 2022 is 99% perfect and will get a stutter once you multitask like super heavy. 2020 Moto edge plus has a WAY better camera too, at 6k video an 108mp camera shot with amazing zoom in for detail! The moto edge 2022 camera is alright for pictures, (s20-s23 are still way better, i've used them and those cameras a whole DIFF ballpark.) That's all i got! Ask me anything i love tech xD

I've tested both out as well and I despised how the pixel 6a only charge at 18W like WTH WHY, the screen was alright, and the speakers weren't anything crazy. 60hz was a huge bummer too, but the camera was honestly really really impressive for a 300$ at the time. I then bought this phone used for 80$ and it changed my mind about everything (except the camera LOL, idk motorola has a "sony tint" but there tint isn't as good as they it is.) Screen is amazing (144hz, Colorful, responsive) speakers (dolby surround sound, LOUD) charging on the moto is 30 watts, and best thing yet the finger print reader is FASTER than the 6a. I've bought used pixel 2-4 and i loved them, but wow are the new ones just escape goats. Sorry if I ranted. I gotta make a video and then rant hahahaha

I have the Motorola One 5g Ace, and my only complaint is the camera sucks. Everything else is great and I'd keep it for another year, but I'd love something that takes better video at concerts.

My issue is this doesn't have any storage. Anything in the sub $400 range that compares? I've considered buying a used iPhone for video, but I don't know if it's worth paying for an extra phone to haul around.

Video editing on CapCut is decent. I'm going to Incubus in a week and a half, so was thinking about something before that, possibly.

I was not sure about which deal had this phone.

Would you have a link to the deal I could use to review?
The edge+ 2022 is the better deal and better phone at 200.00 (then get it unlock thru Ebay).. although it was only 49.00 in June for a short time thru Boost special deal.

Is there a guide or step by step what to do after purchasing it along with the $40 plan?

no guide needed.. buy the phone and 40.00 boost plan . After getting phone go to ebay and buy the unlock service for boost moto edge+ 2022 and give seller phone info he needs etc. (just make sure you dont have "Auto" pay activated in your boost account and you will only be charged the one 40.00 month fee)

Motorola = no updates. Just be ready to throw the phone away when majority of the apps won't work due to outdated OS.
I've been using Motorola phones for years and have never had an issue with apps (even after no further OS updated see available). Keep in mind with Motorola, you're generally paying $300 or less. You have to realize they are budget focused and have to cut costs in places like the camera. That's really the only thing where Motorola's suffer. The camera isn't horrible, but it's no Samsung/iPhone/Pixel. If you want a camera that's nice, be prepared to tack on close to double the price or buy old flagship models. I will say the Moto OS is very clean and responsive on most of their phones.

Upvote just because I want Moto to regain some marketshare. Samsung has become the Apple of Android land in this country and despite being a Galaxy line fan for a while - they need to feel some competition again.
I would love to see the same thing, but I think Moto's glory days are in the rearview when Google sold it to Lenovo. Lenovo seems to be much more budget conscious with these phones which means they cut corners on quality. However, I feel like they are one of the most trustworthy of the budget brands.

I'm slightly confused about Verizon MVNO compatibility. Comparing this phone to the better-deal Boost Mobile Motorola Edge + 2022 with Ebay unlock, both will work on Verizon, right? Will both work on Verizon MVNO, specifically Spectrum?
