Just leaving this comment here for the benefit of others - This is the Edge (Mediatek processor) and not the Edge + with the Snapdragon processor.

I have a pixel 6a and this Moto edge. Other than the updates, the Moto is a much better daily driver. I've been using it since December and have found it perfectly capable. The screen is impressive and bright. The camera has a larger main sensor than my galaxy S 22, and although the software is weaker, it takes really nice photos that look great even printed out at 8.5 by 11. The speakers are much better than my galaxy or iPhone. The media Tech is surprisingly responsive, although obviously not as fast as the snapdragon in the Edge plus. It's very lightweight and feels nicely balanced in the hand. I'm sure others will disagree vehemently, but I heartily recommend this phone at this price.

The megapixel count isn't what matters on modern smartphones. It's just a marketing figure. The AI software that's processing the photo is what matters. Also, the quality of the sensor is more important than the pixel count. The Pixel 7 line only has a 50MP camera and it's tied with Samsung and Apple's flagships for the best photos. Moto has inferior software than the leading manufacturers. Moto has a phone with a 200MP camera, yet it takes inferior photos to even the Pixel 5's 12MP camera. Depending on what you're documenting, the Moto may still be fine, though. It's not like the photos will be a completely blurry mess. They just won't look as crisp and photogenic.

I assume it has already received Android 13 this year . How many major updates left ? 1 or 2?
Motorola is quite terrible on Android updates. I am willing to bet it's still on 12

What is the specifics of *any condition*? What if it doesn't turn on? LMAOLMAOLMAO
I have an S7 Edge in the drawer alongside Moto Z2 Force Edition and an Alcatel Idol 4S (Windows Phone). The later 2 are in perfect working conditions but S7Edge doesn't respond. Am contemplating to do trade-in at Costco if they can accept S7E. Need clarification over this *any condition* thingy
As long as you have the Imei number for the phone, even if it doesn't power on, you can trade it in. Any phone. ANY CONDITION! 😁

Much better deal is the moto edge Plus 2022 from the boost mobile deal. It's $200 for the phone plus $40 for 1st month service (cancel auto pay) and about $4 for the unlock code from ebay. I have been using it with Cricket for about 3 weeks now and because its performance is way more consistent it feels like an upgrade to my previous pixel 7.

Is the edge+ nearing its updates limit? Outside of performance, is this a better deal because of updates?

I think both have the same amount of updates remaining. They were both made in 2022. But Motorola is notoriously bad at updating anything

Bought one. And am returning. Smaller screen then I was expecting. Isn't super smooth. Had no update available thru att. Security patch was June 2022. Battery was dropping 1% every time I looked. Not impressed at all unfortunately. I guess others may like

no problem. ultimatly your choice....however.....

but in reality.
that $49 is gonna cost more :

u need to add:
+ 35 in act fee.
+ additional 65 in tax (80 in store v 15 on line).
+ additional 10 in plan (minimum plan : 50 in store v 40 on line).

so ~ 160?

and of course, that deal no longer available.
what is available today?

An E+ 2022 for ~$200 (msrp of 800) is pretty good

in any event, i do not want to de rail this thread any more than necessary.

any further comments / question.
please ask over there. i think u may change your mind Smilie

this will be my last comment here for the merits of the edge + 2022 deal.

I took advantage of the T-Mobile Moto Edge trade in deals and don't regret it. The phone is very capable especially at this price range. My son plays all his android games without any hiccups. The only thing that needs tweaking is the camera but otherwise this is a no brainer.

Would this be a decent upgrade from my Moto G Power 2020?
Quote from Fletch113 :
Same question here
At this point, anything is a decent upgrade to the 2020 g power in terms of performance. Even my older Moto x4 which is an older phone seems to be a small upgrade to the 2020 g power that I'm currently using.

I do have IMEI number and I did bite the offer. But since S7E doesnt even turn on, am just wondering what if TMo rejects it? Well, will see ... Anyways, the device came as "Recycled Accepted for $0" so hopefully, there isnt any further reduction in the price they can impose LMAOLMAO
