In real life performance no and if you're comparing to regular 980 I would definitely pick this one over that. If it's pro vs pro then I would probably get 980 since it's Gen 4 if price is the same or $5 more since it will be more future proof and is faster drive that could be used in PS5 as well as Gen 3/4 M.2 slots

I ordered the 980 pro for this price Tuesday from Best Buy. It was the same price on Amazon as well. Both are dead now though.
