Last I knew, you can use windows 10 for free without registration and personalization options, but have to deal with a watermark. Otherwise, last I purchased windows keys they were about $10.

No, but I don't have the time to build one for her and the price difference between pcs with and without a gpu aren't all that great. She's not going to use for much more than storing photos and basic Microsoft office needs and if any of the grandkids use it for playing something having a dedicated card will come on handy.
