Nothing like 75" of POWER!!!! Especially at this price. People can bicker and complain but if you're old enough to remember rear projection TV's...how far we've come with so little money.

If you want a large TV for a room that you just leave on for back ground content or don't care about top of the line processing you can't go wrong here.

Truth. Too many namby pamby types now a days... Not 8k, no atmos, viewing angle, hdmi, slow processor.... Good lord. Great deal for a 75 inch if you're not a princess.

You nailed it. In practically every single TV thread you'll find someone telling you why you shouldn't get it for one of the reasons you mentioned. Most of them fail to realize that the vast majority of people looking for a TV in this price range couldn't care less about those things and simply want a TV that has a decent picture that they can enjoy. Nobody is expecting an OLED picture at this price point. I also get tired of the "if you just spend $200-500 more you can get XXX". Well maybe $500 is all that person can afford or they want to spend on a TV. The bottom line is this is a very good price on a TV with a decent people that 98% of the population would be happy with.

I have one of these and I have an issue with HDR on the built in Roku App, which makes it looks washed out and grey. but with an external Roku it works great! Seriously great picture for the price!

Funny thing is, those princesses can't afford this TV or a better one either. 🙃

75 is way too big for me, but the 65" isn't a bad price @ $368. https://www.walmart.com/ip/TCL-65...hbdg=L1600
I got a pair of 65 or 70 inch models for $300 each last year. I expect Black Friday will have some good deals this year if you can wait.

I've had this TV for 6 months. So far it's been pretty good for the price.

Also doesn't thevroku remote have a headphone jack still ?

Though it eats batteries doing this.
They generally use the app for private listening nowadays.

I recommend tcl as a late night bedroom tv. Great value at the 55" segment. At the 65-75 segment, i have to assume lighted room/livingroom/day time usages. At 75" for a livingroom tv, i cant recommend this tv as I have owned it and can speak for how bad brightness/darkness/washed out picture due to contrast will be. Its really a bad picture once you blow it up to 75" and put it in light. At 55" its not bad, at 75" its pretty bad. If you control lighting and have the right function for the tv you may have a good experience, beauty is in the eye if the beholder.

I had the TCL 4 series in 65" & now the 5 series in 75". I find them (after playing with settings & added soundbar) to be very very good for my LR / BR tv's. TCL is one of the main TV brands worldwide that's been around for a good stretch of time. My buds Hisense mid model stopped working after warranty, & that story for Hisense / Samsung is repeatedly told over & over on here.

I recommend Roku as it's a little bit faster than Google programming. Roku is genius bc it paired all my apps/pw's onto another Roku device I had so I had not much log in while on the same Wi-Fi for both Roku tvs.

I recommend playing with your darkness & mode settings, like online videos have shown. I had the same issue as you on contrast & surprisingly has been a lot better since I hardwired my tv's internet from my router. Faster connection too.
