I got in with the orginal deal without any issues. There was a lot of misinformation in the orginal thread, but yes, all you have to do it just activate the phone with the fi app, then take the Fi SIM out and never touch it again (sock drawer it, trash it, etc). You can pop in a SIM from another carrier with no problem. After 120 days have passed you can verify that it's finalized in your fi account > savings > earned. At that point you can do whatever you want, the discount is yours to keep.

I think a significant difference here is we are not getting the storage upgrade for free? I got this deal last time but got the s23 ultra with 512gb for the same price as they are offering the 256gb.

I got new fi sim card from amazon and activated on my google pixel 7 and now under Fi savings, it showing me following promo - "$300 back on Pixel 7 after 24 monthly bill credits. Must be new to Google Fi."

Also, I do see bill now (after 2 days of sim activation) but still don't see any promotion for existing customers for any phones (not only samsung, but for other phones as well)..

Any suggestions??
For some reason it's not seeing you as an existing Fi member. Below are screenshots of the Pixel 7 deal that I see as an existing Fi member.
Try loggin out of your FI account, the log back in and click SHOP on the left side of the screen.

I already tried logging out and log back in.. noting seems to be working.. Can it be due to this other promo regarding "$300 back on Pixel 7 after 24 monthly bill credits. Must be new to Google Fi" which is enabled all by itself on my account?

I don't want this promo (google pixel 7), since I brought my own device (google pixel 7) Frown

I have no ideas about the Pixel 7 deal that's being offered to you. Did you buy that Pixel 7 directly from Fi or from someone else? If you're the first owner of that Pixel 7, did you buy it throug a Fi deal?

I guess you'll have to contact Fi support to find out what's going on.

tried chat from last 3 days to get that google pixel 7 promo, removed from my account.. but those fools have no idea how to do that and keep telling me to ignore that promo...

Just wrote an email to customer service in an hope that may be someone with more authority can get that done..

Meanwhile, thinking to order another Fi sim from amazon, to use it with different email account to see if I can get this deal Big Grin

If you do that, use a non-Google non-Fi phone BYOD phone, so there will be no chance Fi will try to offer you a deal on that phone.

Worked like a charm for a Cream 512GB version, thanks.

Has anyone signed up and kept the Google Fi phone protection for $12/mo after using this deal? If I keep the service for the required 120 days then cancel, am I still able to keep the Google Fi protection plan on the phone? If that's a yes, am I also able to continue with the protection if I pay the device off early (say in a couple months after the 120 day window)?

Well I am beyond frustrated. I followed the guide here and ordered the Fi sim card, activated it and got the $20 plan following the guide, waited on my billing cycle to begin.

The $600 offer was showing up but the guide here told me to wait before ordering it, to wait at least 2-3 days till after my billing cycle started, which I was doing, well I went to check my account now and the offer is not showing up. It's been replaced with the $700 billing credits offer and the $600 off offer was taken away.

Not sure what the reason for that was, but I should have just bit the bullet and bought the phone when I saw the offer, ignoring what the guide here said, now I really do not think there is any way I'm going to get the offer again. I'm not sure why but it's gone now.

Can anyone share the terms and conditions of the offer page with me? google is arguing with me on their chat trying to say that I do not qualify for the offer since I'm still considered a new customer for them. Having activated only 3 days ago.

I cannot prove the offer event exists, I need a link to the terms and conditions to show them please if anyone can find it.

Thank you Bulletproof, I ended up sending them this and they said they're not able to fix it on their end and they are now escalating my ticket to some higher up department which is supposed to review my case within 24-48 hours to see if they will activate the offer for me again.

The weird thing is that the $600 off offer was showing up for me, but then it was replaced with the $700 bill credits, just today. I was waiting like the guides here recommend doing till my billing cycle had gone for 3 days, but seems like that might have been a bad choice in hindsight considering now they've removed the offer and replaced it with the lesser deal.

I told the support agent that the only reason I'm interested in Fi is due to this phone offer and if they will not honor it that I'm not going to remain a customer (and likely will be calling to get a refund as well) since I cannot get the phone I want with this service on the discount offer.

I'm the person who wrote the tip about using the BYOP SIM to qualify as an existing member to do this deal.

I don't know why you initially saw the $600 offer but now it was taken away FOR YOU. Have you checked and see if you're logged into your Fi account and clicked on SHOP?

The offer is still available for me and probably other existing Fi members (could someone check it please?). The screenshots below were taken around 7:10AM CDT 9/14/23 (with date and time in the lower right corner). I can still see the $600 offer, I even cleared the browser cache and refreshed the page.

Regarding whether or not to wait until the bill is available or order the phone as soon as you see the offer, that's your decision. There have been several cases (one posted within the last 2-3 days) when someone ordered before the bill was available and their promotion was deemed invalid because the system determined that the S23 was activated by a NEW MEMBER. In one case, the buyer couldn't get it fixed by Fi Support and had to return the phone. In two cases, the buyers were able to get it fixed by support but they spent a couple of stressful days wondering if it would be fixed. So, it's your decision on when to order the S23.

Here's the most recent case when the buyer ordered too early without waiting for the bill to be available: https://slickdeals.net/f/16804301-google-fi-256gb-samsung-galaxy-s23-ultra-unlocked-smartphone-various-colors-600-more-w-existing-fi-account-free-s-h?p=165749374#post165749374

Google themselves even confirmed that I am only being given the new customer $700 offer bill credit now, they checked my account,. I also checked it on my phone via the app and the desktop site, everything is showing that the offer was revoked and the only one showing now is the $700 bill credit, even tho it was showing the $600 off offer when I first activated the sim, the very first day.

It seems to me that google doesn't want people doing this deal anymore or something, so they have taken it away, or my account had it removed, but either way it was there and now its gone, and its showing me the other offers now.

I guess i'll just have to wait and see what google says about the offer. At this point they are supposed to be showing the $600 off one, since the $700 bill credits is for new members only.
