No zigbee or zwave support and I dont see any support for Hubs like hubitat/smartthings. Looks like its direct control from their phone app over wifi, which usually means no internet no control...

Select the combo pack to get the 40 inch extension too for the same price ($20).

If length is matter, this ended up to be 120" = 10ft which is not that good of a deal. Am I missing something?

Thanks for mentioning that, looks like I mixed up what product I wanted to post. I swapped out the original deal of 40" with the 80" + 40" since it's nearly the same price.

Thinking of swapping everything over from my current Hue setup just for the sake of pricing and quality sales like these. Anyone have first hand experience with differences or quirks between the two?

Actually Direct Connect Light Strips require no hub for internet access:

Direct Connect Light Bulbs connect to the Cync app via Wi-Fi and Bluetooth which allows for local and out-of-home control. It also allows you to connect your light (after setting up in the Cync app) to Alexa or Google Home for voice control without the need for an additional hub.

Just to confirm, and you actually tested this. If you turn off your modem AKA no internet, you can still control the devices with the phone app? That would be local control and thats a big + but usually requires a hub for that.

Just as a heads up CYNC app/devices don't play well with other automated apps like Google home. I have bulbs in my attic and randomly they will turn on and will never pair with my other automated apps.

These are brighter than Govee. Don't know about Philip. you can select and change LED colors on GE app and use Alexa.

Thanks. I read quickly and didn't look at the product box. It clearly says inches. I assumed like the rest of led being sold all printed as feet. I've honestly never seen any product sold in inches.

If you use the Cync app yes you will have issues connecting to google home. I have a ton of CYNC lights. I simply set them up using google home. Some time in the last year or so they added in functionality to set colors through google home on full hue lights (should be able to with this set as well) & you can add them to routines.

for the attic put a puck closer to where the lights are or even in the attic, bluetooth may not reach that far but wifi should.
