You really cannot go wrong paying two bucks for a quality 25' tape measure that comes with a lifetime warranty. I do not even need this but plan to pick one up.

I have a LOT of these from when they were free. They generally don't last too long before they won't retract completely. As long as you aren't spending too much time/gas on a warranty exchange, I suppose its not a bad deal to keep somewhere in case of a measuring emergency (whatever that would be), but if you're going to be using it regularly, get a better tape.
